HOW TO USE / BEST PRACTICES

NeutraPods Solution
Practical Stability

Keep in mind the type and quality of water used (e.g., temperature, pH, hardness, or contaminants) can significantly affect the stability and shelf life of the solution. Generally speaking, once a NeutraPod has been dissolved into water, the solution will remain effective for around 5 days under normal conditions, assuming it’s stored sealed and out of direct sunlight. For best results, we recommend using the solution within this window to ensure maximum neutralization potency.

Storage vs. Stability

Cool, sealed, dark container 2–4 weeks
90–95% potency
Room temp, sealed, indirect light 1–2 weeks
85-90% potency
Room temp, open or clear container 3–5 days
75–85% potency
Hot or direct sun (truck bed, etc.) 1–2 days
rapid degradation to 50–70%

Mixing Instructions

NeutraPods are intended to be mixed as a concentrate for 10:1 dilution at the time of application. This ensures both effectiveness and product economy in the field.

When mixing, be sure to adjust the number of NeutraPods used based on the strength of the sodium hypochlorite (SH) solution you’re working with. Higher concentrations of SH will require more neutralizer to ensure complete deactivation.

As a general guideline:

Always err on the side of using slightly more if you’re unsure, especially when treating sensitive vegetation or surfaces.
